School Districts In Lancaster County

Lancaster County is divided into 17 school districts. The districts span the various municipalities so that there is not a distinct correlation between municipality and school district. A school district may draw from as many as eight different municipalities, and one municipality may be divided amongst more than one school district. If you have children or plan to have children, it is important to take a look at the corresponding school district for your street address. The 17 districts are Cocalico, Columbia Borough, Conestoga Valley, Donegal, Eastern Lancaster County, Elizabethtown Area, Ephrata Area, Hempfield, Lampeter-Strasburg, School District of Lancaster, Manheim Central, Manheim Township, Octorara Area, Penn Manor, Pequea Valley, Solanco, and Warwick.

Some districts are urban, such as the large City of Lancaster school district, which serves over 11,000 students at 19 schools, and the small urban district of Columbia Borough, which serves just under 1,500 students at 4 schools. Other districts are distinctly rural, such as the Solanco School District, a district encompassing 180 square miles and serving just under 4,000 students. And in between the urban and the rural areas are many suburban districts. Different families value different qualities when it comes to education, and the sheer number of districts here may feel overwhelming.
Our real estate agents are always ready to discuss the differences between these 17 school districts.

Patient, knowledgeable, genuinely helpful, flexible, understanding and professional are some of the words I would use to describe the Jeremy Ganse Team. We made a move from Brooklyn, NY so our house hunting trips were sporadic, always on the weekends and often last minute. Jeremy and his team always found a way to accommodate our crazy schedules and they also always made sure we were seeing houses that fit our budget and our profile. The team was in constant contact right up to and even after closing. I cannot say enough here, but I will end with a solid recommendation. Use Jeremy when next you are in the market. You won't be sorry. We could not be happier!!

Kelly S.

It has been a great experience selling our home and buying our new home with Jeremy Ganse and his team. His knowledge of the market and negotiating skills have navigated us through a challenging sale of our older home in a very strict municipality. He is a confident, experienced professional who conducts his business with a very high standard of integrity. He represented us in a way that made us feel confident that we will get to settlement on both properties on time even though the hurdles were high. We are more than satisfied with the results that brought us to our new property, and if we were to ever make a move again Jeremy Ganse would be the only agent for us. Kelly and Jerry

We highly recommend their services to anyone needing assistance purchasing a new home.
