Warwick Education Foundation

A school system is more than just grades and statistics.  Warwick schools strive to develop well-rounded, lifelong learners.  The Warwick Education Foundation is a community-based partnership with the schools that raises money to promote educational, teaching, and learning opportunities within the school district.  The foundation holds fundraisers such as the Annual Golf Classic and Education Rocks!, a high energy evening of live music, auctions, food, and drinks. The foundation uses the money raised to fund three different types of enrichment: individual grants to teachers or teams of teachers to purchase learning tools for the classroom; providing “Expert-in-Residence” grants to bring in outside experts for lectures, demonstrations, and discussions; and technology upgrades.  For example, the Warwick Education Foundation recently helped the school district to purchase iPads and computers for the classrooms. The Foundation also gives back to the community by putting on community events such as Family Movie Night, the Lititz Storytelling Festival, and Family Fun Day.

Since 1997, the Foundation has granted more than $1.7 million dollars in grants to the Warwick schools.  This strong financial provision and investment of time and resources is a testament to the community’s commitment to education in Warwick.
