The Ice Cream Experience is a tour that takes place between July 20th and August 17th. This event is perfect for any ice cream lover. The tour starts at a local dairy establishment where visitors can learn to make their own ice cream with a unique hands-on experience. Afterward, the journey continues with a trip to the Amish Countryside where participants can try out some of the best homemade ice creams in the county.
Ultimate Amish Adventure in Lancaster
The Ultimate Amish Adventure takes place between July 24th and September 14th. With assistance from Strasburg Scooters, locals can get an up-close look at Amish culture. During the ride, guests can interact with the Amish and try out different hands-on activities on the farm. Every tour is unique and offers experiences depending on the day to day activities of the people from the Pennsylvania Dutch Country. The cost of the tour starts at $149.
Servant Stage’s Let Freedom Ring: Music of America
Servant Stage’s Let Freedom Ring: Music of America takes place between July 28th and August 18th. This event features various Servant Stage performers in a live show that celebrates the spirit of our nation. This show features musical genres from Broadway classics and Barber Shop Quartets to Swing music, Gospel and Spiritual, and so much more. The star-spangled event has something for everyone in the family to enjoy. The show takes place in New Holland Park.
Little Sprouts Classes
Little Sprouts Summer Classes take place between July 17th and August 7th. The cost is $9.99 per class per child. The classes help children learn more about the outdoors and connect with the rural farm area. The 9 weeklong series includes fun adventures and various experiments as well as arts and crafts projects.
Seasonal snacks are provided from the orchard and children can pick fruit as they enjoy an educational nature hike. Parents can register their child at any time throughout the summer so there is still time to sign up. Upcoming adventures in August include the Bullfrogs and Butterflies event.
Annie
Check out a live performance of the classic play Annie at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre on July 17th through August 10th. The tale of the loveable orphan girl who goes on an adventure in New York City to find her parents in the 1930s. The cost to attend the live show is between $58 and $67. Recommended for ages 8 and up. The running time for the play is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
