Lampeter-Strasburg School District

The Lampeter-Strasburg School District is a high-performing school district. It serves the following communities: the borough of Strasburg, Strasburg Township, West Lampeter Township, and the unincorporated census-designated place of Willow Street. While the southern end of this district touches on the City of Lancaster, the district quickly becomes more rural moving away from the city.  The district overall is largely rural and suburban.  The district serves roughly 3,000 students at 2 elementary schools, 1 middle school, and 1 high school.

 All of these schools are located on the same campus in Lampeter. All of the schools are high-performing and highly rated.  State testing results demonstrate that of the students in this district, 66% are proficient in math and 81% in reading. These same testing results consistently place Lampeter-Strasburg in the top 10% of school districts in Pennsylvania.  

The school rating website, Niche.com, conducted a survey of the 500 districts in Pennsylvania that rates the Lampeter-Strasburg district #41 for best teachers, #57 for safest schools, and #58 for best schools overall. Niche.com gives this district an “A” rating.
